Is it a Pioneer by any chance? Some have/had an issue with the power
supply which caused red streaking or arching on the screen. It was hard
to
see and would require the unit to be replaced. Burn in is not fixable for
a reasonable price. With TV prices dropping faster than a hooker's pajama
it's not worth the repair.
