Just to clarify a few things:
1. There where many LDs that where encoded with AC-3 and DTS, plus a
few that came with 6.1 sup****t. Of course, on my discs that are only
PCM or mono I will play them using less speakers. I merly want to have
the best experience I can get from the format.
2. The player I am purchasing is a Pioneer HLD-X9.
3. The reason I had a preference for Japanese equipment is due to me
having some minor OCD :) Since the rest of my set up will be from
Japanese manufacturers, I guess I just wanted it all to match.
However, in exchange for quality I will be willing to go with products
from other countries.
So, do you guys have any suggestions?
