I have a Sony SR-DE495 receiver which is equipped with Dolby Pro-Logic 5.1
surround sound outputs. At present I'm just using two Mission 762i
speakers
(stand mounted).
I want to add a subwoofer to the system but when I search, all I can find
are subwoofers costing several hundred pounds. Yet I can find full 5
speaker
systems for under £30. I realise that you only get what you pay for, but
why this huge price discrepancy? Surely it must be possible to buy a
decent
subwoofer to add to my system for under £100. Can anyone recommend
something suitable. I know that my system isn't exactly top of the range
and the real hi-fi buffs probably wouldn't approve, but the sound quality
is
superb (not just my opinion).
