advice on surround speakers

by Jo Costello <jo.costella@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 9, 2007 at 02:29 PM

Hi

I'm looking for a new speaker set to connect to my pc/home cinema. 80%
of the time I'll be using them for listening to music and about 20% for
movies. Although there is no real budget, going above 500 euro's is only
possible if there are some strong arguments. For that money I'm looking
for as much quality as possible, they don't have to go very loud since
the room is only 4 by 4 meters. 5.1 sound is needed, digital input would
be practical and it would be nice if the set could go as low as 20Hz.

I saw the pc-sets from creative and logitech but the decent ones are
300-1000 watt, which seems way to much. I can't help thinking there is a
better solution to get some affordable quality sound then buying a 500
watt monster.

Any advice is appreciated, i myself don't know that much about this topic.

Thanks in advance,
Jo
