Mixer mic input impedance is 2kOhm, then mic impedance have to be a
few
hundreds Ohm, no more. What microphone are you using? How is made the
cable?
Jack is mono? XLR pin 1&3 are connected together to the ground/****eld?
If the problem is in the mic, try a Shure SM58 (get a used one if it
is
too expensive, it's indestructible!) or a brand new Sennheiser e835 (very
good without any eq and cheap).
