I owned a Sony TCS-300 (stereo recording walkman) in the early 80s and I'm
seeking info on the demo cassette that came with it; specifically, a track
called "Brand New." It was modern jazz/instrumental with punchy trumpets
and a rolling bass line; an uplifting song. It was so good I figure it had
to be from a known artist but I didn't write it down.
There exist a dozen or more songs called "Brand New" and I've listened to
online samples with no luck. Back in the 80s I never thought I'd lose that
tape and the band name is long forgotten. Thanks for any help with this
long-shot question.
