Replacing Quad ELS 57s

by "Sla#s" <phil@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 7, 2007 at 10:53 PM

The time has come to finally replace my trusty Quad ELS speakers. (+ 33,
303) I'd love to keep them but they are a bit too big for my current place
and I really would prefer to have a small 5.1 system to play movies
through
as well. I do have the DVD & PC connected to the HiFi currently but I have
to admit that movies sound better if played through 5.1.
I have been so happy with Quad over the years that I will probably get
their
new 5.1 system.
Thing is - How does one play LPs and the FM radio through a 5.1 system?
(Googling this hasn't helped)
I assume I could somehow connect the 33 preamp to it (?) And I'd have to
have some sort of switch box - or should I use the 33 for that?
Has anyone done this?

TIA
Slatts
